Upgrading your incinerator?
Teamtec incinerators delivered from 1990 to 1997 can be upgraded according to the latest standards if they are from the following range:
- OG 120
- OG 200
- OGS 200
- OG 400
- OGS 400
- GS 500
Conversion packages are available from our spare parts department at a sensible cost compared to installing a new incinerator. We can offer evaluation of the existing incinerator and the best solution for the client.
Incinerators prior to IMO certification are not approved for burning plastic, but an upgraded and IMO approved incinerator can.
The advantages of upgrading to computer control are as following:
- Full automation gives simple operation, and does not require continuous attendance by engine crew.
- Increased capacity, as the controller will ensure full utilisation of the thermal capacity.
- Lower fuel cost. The warm-up time is reduced to 20-30 minutes.
- If the sludge contains less than 40-50 % water, no support burner is required. This is significant as a support burner can easily occupy 30 % of the incinerator's thermal capacity (regardless of make).
- An upgrade to current standard results in an IMO certificate.
- Higher capacity for burning both liquid and solid waste.
The pictures below shows an OG 200 converted to OG 200 CS (right). The conversion kit consists of new burner, new control panel, a diesel oil heater, sludge dosage valve assembly and a new damper.
A sluice for continuous feeding of solid waste was also fitted when converting an OG incinerator (without sluice) to an OG - S version.
